Join Laramie PrideFest and our community partners: Albany County SAFE Project, Laramie Reproductive Health, and Wyoming Equality, in the Phoenix Ballroom (2nd Floor) of the Laramie Plains Civic Center to honor the past year’s victims of homicide against against trans and gender expansive individuals. Storytellers from the 2SLGBTQIAP+ community will share words of reflection and their lived experiences. After storytelling, a candlelight vigil will be held to honor the victims of violent transphobic attacks in 2023. Electric candles will be supplied by Laramie PrideFest.
This event is free and open to the community, and follows the 6:00 PM Transgender Day of Remembrance Memorial Service at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Laramie.
The best entrance to access the Phoenix Ballroom is on the corner of 7th and Garfield. Attendees can take the stairs on the right to get to the ballroom. Those in need of an elevator can use the entrance on the corner of 8th and Custer. Attendees can take the elevator to the second floor to get to the ballroom.
Our thanks to the Laramie Plains Civic Center for hosting this event, and for their continued enthusiastic support.
